Moving here in feb, need too meet others

Pretty much the topic says it all, I'm moving to Haimen in the new year, and I'm looking to meet some new people and get some hints before i leave.

I do not know of any other foreigner living in haimen, so you may well be on your own.... anyone else know???

Anyway, you can get a bus or taxi into Nantong city for the weekend when you need some beer buddies or other....


Bring with you? I would say, bring as little as possible as it is fairly cheap to stock up when you arrive.

February will be cold so of course some winter clothes, gloves scarf etc....

I have found a group of Canadians who are leaving for Haimen in feb. They assure me that there are other foreigners in Haimen City, but most do use their time off to travel into the larger centers. At this point I will probably be lurking on the Nantong board since i feel Nantong will be my weekend city as opposed to Shanghai.
